Currently Alton Memorial Hospital is undergoing an 86,000 square foot expansion, which includes 76 single patient, state-of-the-art rooms. The hospital and Alton Memorial Health Foundation were able to raise all of the money to build this newest addition.

How many beds does the hospital have?
The hospital currently has 220 beds in the hospital. When the new wing is open, 76 of the beds from the current Medical and Surgical floors will be moved to the new bed tower.
