My name is Malea Watson and I am the Breast Health Navigator at Alton Memorial Hospital. I work diligently as a liaison between physicians, radiologists and patients to quickly facilitate patient needs. Wait times can add an unnecessary layer of stress for patients and that is where I can help. I am working to establish the navigator role with the following services:

Board-Certified Radiologists availability to read Mammography
Mon-Fri, 7:30am-3:30pm with same day diagnostic views and
ultrasound if indicated

• Educating women on the need for follow-up and
  our convenient scheduling
• Surgeons same day or next day availability for consultations
• Biopsy availability within 48 hours
• Oncology/Radiation availability for case review or needed consultation
• Cancer Care Center with scheduling for patient convenience and accessible parking. Caring staff for any chemotherapy or radiation needs
