What Have We Done For You Lately?

1. Developed this website to provide you and your office with more immediate information and resources.  Please give us your feedback on what we can do to make this a more useful tool for you.

2. Continued to work on computer issues related specifically to our physicians.  BJC IS has rounded with some of our physicians to see first hand what they are bumping up against and they have developed a physician specific action plan for resolving these issues.

3. Engaged Dr. Jay Kaplan to meet with our managers and front line supervisors regarding why Physician Engagement is important and what their role is in that.

4. Opened the Step Down Unit, just outside of the ICU, in order to improve patient flow thru the Emergency Room and the ICU.

5. Several physicians, including the Physician Engagement Team members, met with and provided important feedback to BJC Clinical Workflow Initiative (CWI) teams regarding the implementation of new discharge instructions and Trio Rounds. Learn more about Trio Rounding here.

6. Added additional case management staff to improve the inpatient discharge process.
